Last year we planted a garden and it yielded some vegetables, but not near as many as we had hoped. The reason for this is because we did put enough time into the project for it to produce the desired results we wanted from it. Continue Reading…

Advertising a product can be a hard task, but the single most important thing in advertising a product is to make it relatable to the masses.

Make people feel like they understand it and would actually need / use it on a daily basis.

When I saw this ad by Apple for the iPhone 5 I thought it captured this perfectly. Everyone can relate to this. Everyone ants to capture that moment on a daily basis that they never want to forget.

Brilliant advertising Apple. Job well done!

What did you think?

**Have you seen any good ads lately?**

As a fan of Disney, a parent, and movie fan I think this is really cool.

Upon the nearing of the release of the new movie Monster U Disney shows its creativity once again with this little gem. I know I would be excited to see this not to mention that my son would absolutely love it. Too bad we were at Disney last month and will not get to see this…

Pretty cool right?

What is your favorite Disney movie of all time?

As many of my readers know I have played baseball (now softball) almost all of my life. In dedicating so much of my life to what in my personal opinion the great sport of baseball I have picked up several things along the way.

Playing baseball allowed me the opportunity to go to a great college on a baseball scholarship. Parents…scholarships are nice. I know my parents are happy they did not have to fork out all that money out of pocket. Baseball also gave me the opportunity to grow as a person and leader. I could go on and on about the many life lessons the game gave me.

Nevertheless, that is not the topic of this post. This post is about an online business/training tool that I have started. The website is ezhitter.com and is still a work in progress. What the site offers is the ability for parents or players the information to email me videos of their children or themselves hitting and for a small fee I will evaluate the swing and let the player or parent know what they should be working on.

I have been doing hitting lessons for several years now and it is something I really enjoy. With the advances in technology I had started to video hitting lessons and making marked up videos for the parents and children so they would have a reference that they could go back and reference. Then one day while shooting some video of my son hitting at a baseball game in which he was playing the idea for the site hit me. If I was a dad or mom and I knew nothing about the game I would love a service that would allow me to shoot a video of my child get some pointers and help them out without taking time in an already busy schedule to run your child to an actual (and a lot of times pricey) hitting lesson.

Anyway, it is just an idea that I am going to try and see how it goes. The site will continue to evolve into something a little more eye-appealing, but that will have to wait until time allows. Until then let me know what you all think and if you think that this is a viable service you think that people would be willing to use.

I will also be blogging on the site about hitting, giving tutorials, showing some training drills and sharing other baseball tidbits.

Let me know if you know of anything you think would add to the value of the site or would benefit it.

Head on over to ezhitter.com.

Thanks and until next time!

As I sat down with my wife, four year old son B, and infant daughter E to watch a movie on DVD the other night a few things hit me that my son and daughter will never get to experience. These thoughts hit me as I skipped easily through the countless previews at the beginning of all children’s movies. I grew up in the days of VHS tapes where that luxury was not as convenient.

As times change and technology continues to evolve there are definitely some things in their lifetime they will not have the chance to experience as I did. For the most part they are probably better of for not having to experience them, but I like to think it made me into the person I am today :) . Oh, we had it so tough…

Here are five things that my son and daughter will probably never experience unless technology has a major meltdown:
