10 Questions with Brett Barner (Godly Sheep)

Brett Barner of Godly Sheep is answering today’s 10 Questions feature. Brett states on his blog he is far from perfect, but saved by God’s grace and mercy none the less. He is married to his best friend, Naomi, and loving every minute of it. He fills his time writing, reading, and trying to keep his Boston Terrier, Benny, under control. If you want to hear him ramble on and on, ask him a question about sports, theology, coffee, or tech.

I hope that you enjoy Brett’s answers and are able to take something away from it.

What is your favorite book?

Too cliche to say “The Bible”, right? Probably Adventures of Huckleberry Finn by Mark Twain.

What is your favorite movie?

Wall-E; which might be a cooler answer if I had kids.

What is your favorite musical genre? Artist/group?

My musical genre tends to be most anything acoustic guitar, jazz, easy listening type stuff. I typically dig the David Crowder Band, Michael Buble, and John Mayer (which may or may not be a good thing) :)

PC or Mac? Why?

Kind of both. I switch back and forth. Right now? A PC, but I’m ready to switch back to Mac.

What is your favorite word?

Troglodyte

If you could do one job other than your current one for a day what would it be?

I’ve always wanted to be in police forensics, so probably that…and no, I don’t watch CSI.

Who has been the most inspirational person in your life?

Easily my Father. The older I get the more I realize how great of an example he was for me. I’ve never seen anyone with a more incredible work ethic.

What is the best advice you have ever been given?

My Grandmother would always tell me that only boring people are bored. Every time I think or say, “I’m bored”, I hear this and change my attitude. It’s such a great call to look for joy and embracing life.

Who is the person you would most like to meet?

Dead or Alive, Abraham Lincoln. Alive – Joe Jonas. Kidding! :)

What would you like to ask God when you meet him face to face one day?

I like to think that Heaven will have like a DVD (or maybe Blu-Ray) collection of all the events in history that you could rent. I’d like to watch either with God or with the DVD commentary on. I have a lot of questions. :)

Thanks to Brett for participating, and be sure to visit his blog Godly Sheep.
