So this past Saturday November 12, 2011 I turned 29 years old. With the birthday I decided to make me a list of thirty items that I want to accomplish by the time the November 12, 2012 rolls around and I become 30. I really have not given myself much time, but I a going to give it a go regardless because I love a good challenge.
So here is my list of the 30 things I would like to accomplish before I turn the big 30:
- Teach my son to hit a baseball.
- Break 90 on a round of golf.
- Read 20 books.
- Start adoption process.
- Make something.
- Finish reading the Bible.
- Plan and go on an epic family vacation.
- Go on a hike in the mountains.
- Catch a fish (it has been years…)
- Run a 5k.
- Run a 10k.
- Complete a sprint triathlon.
- Go to a Atlanta Braves game.
- Go rafting.
- Go camping.
- See Journey in concert.
- Pay off all credit card debt.
- Rent our vacant house.
- Sit down with wife and create family mission statement and goals.
- Spend more quit time with God.
- Go see a play.
- Raise enough money to pay for adoption.
- Take my wife on a date at least once a month.
- Go see Hillsong United again
- Attend Catalyst East
- Post at least 4 times a week on my blog.
- Write a poem.
- Create and stick to family budget.
- Eat at a restaurant featured on
- Eat at one of the places visited on Diners, Drive Ins, and Dives.
So those are my 30 before 30. Let’s go! Should be fun!
Have you made a list like this?

Dude: energetic list to say the least. Many of them are ones I wish I could have accomplished, except seeing the Braves. You seriously need to reevaluate your team. If you want a real challenge go see the Pirates at PNC Park.
Only cooking show I will sit down and watch with my wife: Triple D. Have you heard the new Journey? Arnel is good. So many others sound appealing (and some don’t. I don’t run, but I do cycle). One last thing: how in the world am I supposed to do a 60 before 60? October 2012.
Come on Bill…anything is possible if you want to go after it!
Have heard the new Journey. Sounds pretty good.
Braves all the way!
I like to make lists. Since I’m turning 40 in a few weeks, maybe I’ll come up with a list of 50 things to do before I turn 50. What do you think?
Definitely go for it man! It would be fun as well as challenging.
that came right in time
i will turn thirty soon
thanks for the post
