April Review and May 2011 Goals

Another month of blogging here on The Daily Walk has come and gone. It is time for me to look back  the goals that I set for the month and see how I did, and see where I need to go.

Here are the list of goals that I set for the month of April:

  • Increase pageviews from March – I accomplished this. I hope I can continually see this numbed grow. It was up 2% from April. I am happy with this and hopefully I can see an even bigger jump in May.
  • Respond to all comments – I was able to do this. Not as fast as I would like, but I was able to respond to all. This is something that I will continue to try to do and in a more efficient manner.
  • Give away another product – I did not get to do this I have something lined up for May though!
  • Complete redesign and subscription page - I am almost finished with this. I still have to add the subscription page and am still contemplating whether I should add some widget ares in the footer. This should be complete by the end of May!
  • Do my first video post… - Still a no go on this. Hopefully find time for this in May!
  • Do a three-day series of posts – I have a series lined up and penciled in for May. Get ready! It’s a coming!

Some Happening from April:

  • I was overall happy with the content that I was able to produce. I feel like I am finding my niche and where my blog needs to be.
  • I couple of my posts where featured over at Kevin’s blog. You can see the one’s here and here. This was exciting.
  • I continued to stay active in the blogging community. Commenting and following other great blogs.
  • Stats where up in almost every category which is exciting.
  • I was able to add 3 more RSS subscribers.
  • I read and reviewed a couple of great books:

Goals for May:

  • Continue to stay involved int he blogging community.
  • Complete the series of posts I have planned.
  • Complete the blog redesign.
  • Review a couple of new books.
  • Gain two new RSS subscribers this month (at 60).
  • Do a vlog.
  • Continue to gain readers.
  • Do another giveaway.

So there you have it. Another month of blogging has come and gone and I am looking forward to a great May!

Thanks to all who are a part of the community, and for taking the time read and comment. It really means a lot to me to get that message that says I have a new comment posted to my blog.

Thanks to All,

Adam

    Great! Congrats man.

I was going to do my next BetaChristian interview via video, but after recording the questions, I looked at the video and thought to myself. “what a goofball”. Scrapped. It will be text.

That is what I am most afraid of….looking like a big goofball!

Inspired me as well! I’m the “goal guy” and I have rarely set any goals for my blog. Thanks for reminding me of the importance of accountability and writing things down!
