Will you be a blessing to someone today?
Often times I go throughout the day and find myself not being a pleasure to be around. Whether it be I am tired, not in a good mood, or just nor feel like being social. It happens.
I am going to make it my goal to make those around me feel appreciated on a regular basis. It is so easy to do. Everyone likes to feel appreciated.
How do you feel when someone compliments you? Good, right? So pass it on.
Show the love of Christ to others through how you treat them today. It is so easy to lift someone up, but just as easy to bring them down. Treat the cashier as if they are a person, make a polite comment to your wife/husband, tell you child you love them, and tell someone they are doing a good job.
Luke 6:31, which we all know, sums up how we should treat others so nicely: “Treat others the same way you want them to treat you.”
Such an easy concept, but so hard to practice with consistency.
Readers you are all a blessing to me and many thanks for reading and commenting.
Can you think of anyone in your life who is a blessing to you on a consistent basis?
Mine is easy. It’s my wife Dawn. She is constantly speaking encouraging words to me that makes me feel great. She truly is a blessing to my life that I do not know what I would do without.

My wife for sure… day in and day out.
We serve as leaders in our student ministry, so our student pastor is also one of those folks Always there, and always encouraging.
You just got to admire those individuals so much, and what they can bring to any situation.
Never underestimate
The benefit of showing you appreciate
An awesome wife who dominates!
My wife is awesome.
KC throwing down the rhymes!
I love to be an encourager – I think that is part of who God has created me to be. But, even with that, I do have to say that it makes a huge difference when people encourage me. The moment my wife says something encouraging to me, my whole day changes.
Nothing like an encouraging word from the wife!
Like Dustin/KC, my wife. Most definitely.
Outside of her, my boss @ work, and our church leaders. They rock.
Strong wives are so important!
Dude, this is my heart cry. I came out of a lifestyle where it was so difficult for me to encourage others. It’s a long story but in short, I was broken and when I needed encouragement most…God brought SO many people into my life to do it.
Now I live each day looking for opportunity to lift people up like I was lifted up when I was down. Now it’s just natural. It’s like a muscle. You gotta practice it and then before you know it, you are ALWAYS encouraging people.
New design look fantastic by the way! But I’m partial to blue.
Thanks Tony!
Like most folks here, my wife and also my kids are the engine that keeps me going. Their encouragement and motivation help me move forward. I also have a few friends that always lift me up in prayer when needed. That’s awesome!
I agree. I can never receive too much encouragement!
