Bucket List Update: #3 and #4 Complete

I recently had some time to look over my bucket list and much to my surprise I had accomplished a couple of the items that I had forgot that I had put on it.

So the first of those items that I have put on it that I have been able to complete is blogging for a year. In January of this year I finished up my finished up my first year of blogging. It has become an addiction to me. I love blogging and the community that I have got involved with here. I enjoy the creativity that it lets me have, and also the challenges it raises on a constant basis.

The next thing that I have accomplished is that I have been for the past three months paying my hosting for this site through money that the site has generated. That is a very good thing. It has allowed me to upgrade to the Standard Theme with Support as well as pay the monthly hosting that I currently have for this site and my family blog.

I feels good to be able to check a couple of things of The Bucket List. No on to checking off a few more in the next few months.

Upon reviewing the list I have decided to add a few more items that I have come up with to the list and they are as follows: Continue Reading…

Bucket List Item Complete #2

This past Friday my wife suprised by giving me one of my Christmas gifts early.

She took me to Memphis, TN to see the Transiberian Orchestra in concert at the Fedex Forum.

What a great gift from the wife. I had no idea. I had been wanting to are them in concert for years. When they come into town it is always seems that we are out of town or have a prior commitment. This year was no different. The weekend they were in town we were out of town.

So my wife found out that they where going to be in Memphis this past weekend and surprised me with an early Christmas gift.

It was everything that I was expecting it would be. If you have never experienced the Transiberian Orchestra live. You have too. If you get the opportunity to go, or they are playing live near you go for it. It was awesome. The cd’s are great, but until you experience it live you really have not experienced all they have to offer.

This is what it was like in a nutshell. It was like 80′s hair metal guitar players crashed with an orchestra, threw in a transformer of a stage, and a bunch of lasers, lights, and fire. Then they told a rocking Christmas story with power ballad voices and a narrator that sounded like James Earl Jones double.

I was a great experience. I loved it. If you get the chance go and take it in. I don’t think you will be disappointed.

Thanks Dawn for an awesome gift.

So I have completed two items now on my bucket list. Read about first completion here.

Here are some pics from the event: Continue Reading…

Bucket List Item Complete #1

A few weeks ago I was able to cross one of the items off of my bucket list. The item was Win a Contest. The blog Make Tech Easier was giving away 5 copies of Wondershare DVD Slideshow Builder. I thought I would throw my name in the hat because I was recently looking for a good slideshow making program for my wife to use. Continue Reading…

My Bucket List

Today I start something that I have been wanting to start for quite a while. Today I start my bucket list. I first got the urge to do it after seeing the movie title The Bucket List (2007)  starring Jack Nicholson and Morgan Freeman. Facing death they both come up with a bucket list of things that they wish to accomplish before they die. So instead of sitting around waiting to die at the hospital they set out to accomplish the things on their list. So I think I will just give myself a little more time to start my bucket list.
