Christian Jerks from Jon Acuff on CNN

Today Jon Acuff, writer of the blog Stuff Christians Like, has an article on CNN on why Christians are jerks online. He raises some good points and is definitely worth a read. Follow this link to the article.

I think his points are very true. A lot of the times it is easier to approach an unbeliever an a message board on a controversial topic and totally loose control of yourself. You forget about the love of God that you are supposed to share with all. As a result,  you come off as a rude arrogant know it all Christian that no one is going to respect or see God through.

The truth is there are a lot of people that would never say the things they say in person as they do online on message boards and in the comments of news stories.

So my challenge to you today is to imagine that you are face to face with the person that you are about to reply to on a message board. Will you chose to show the love of God and restraint and respond in a Christian manner?
