Did you feel ready when you became a father?

When my wife and I found out we where going to be having our son we decided we would take the first time parenting class that the hospital offered to new parents.

As I look back at it I thought coming out of the class that I would be ready for the delivery room, swaddling, and changing diapers. I mean I had gone to this class and had read a couple of books for first time dads.

A little humor for your hump day!

As funny as this video is it really shows something special. That is, kids love spending time with their parents. I love my son and if I could I would love to hang out with him everyday. However, food has to be put on the table, and we need shelter over our heads. To a kid every moment that is spent with their parent is special. Even if they are playing a dumbbell!

Do you enjoy a good wrestling match?

One of my favorite things to do with my son is wrestle around in the living room when I get home from work. It is great fun and it wears us both out.

It is fun, but most of all it allows me to bond with my son. It allows me to play with him, and show him that I love him. This is something that  children can never get enough of from their parents. Just to show them and tell them you love them. There are so many kids in the world today that do not see love on a daily basis. Anyway, if you have kids or are around kids much you will come to find out they say the funniest stuff. My son who is two can always make me laugh with some of the stuff he says, or at least tries to say! This is where the title of this post comes in to play.

I shared this as a comment on a blog a while back.  I thought that I would share it here so that everyone who might not have read it there could enjoy it here, especially the fathers.

So my son and I had went along with my wife shopping and instead of going with her into the department store I decided that I would take my son to the much more manly Best Buy. I love electronics and I thought my son would sit in his stroller so I could browse around the place and look at all of the cool new gadgets.
