With Father’s Day coming up this Sunday I thought I would throw out some ideas that could possibly help those out there trying to think of the perfect gift for their dad or husband. I know I am the hardest person to pick stuff out for. I like electronics so my gifts are usually for multiple occasions…
Anyway, here are just a few ideas that I have come up with and I hope that they help…
- Card – Cards with a heart felt message may sound cheesy, but they mean more than you would think.
- Movie – Buy them their favorite movie and take the time to watch it with them.
- A Night about Them – Do something that for your dad or husband that he likes to do.Take him to a restaurant he likes and then take him to a ball game or a movie.
- Wallet – Check out your dad’s wallet and see if he is in need of an upgrade. These days i prefer the front pocket style wallet (Slimmy Original Black (M17546BK)
) for two reasons: 1) I don’t have to sit on it. 2) It forces me to consolidate what cards that I carry around with me because the wallets are smaller.
- A New Tool – Men like fixing things. Enough said…
- Books – I always enjoy a good read. If your dad is a reader here are a few of the books that I have enjoyed recently.
- Bible – A new Bible can be a great gift. Add a personal note to the inside cover and it will mean even more.
- iPod – If you are looking to splurge on your dad or husband this Father’s Day this is the route to go.
- iPad - If you are going to splurge a little more on your your father of husband this may be the way to go. I have one and I really enjoy using it.
- Ebook Reader – I have a Kindle and an iPad and I find them both very convenient. I enjoy not having to carry books around with me wherever I go. If your dad or husband is a traveler or reads a lot then this is definitely a good buy. It will pay for itself in the end because books are usually cheaper…
Any others ideas?
