February Blogging Goals

Where would we be if we did not have any goals?

Probably the same place that we where years ago. With goals we stive to be better. To go the extra mile. To work harder for the end results.

In order for us to reach our major goals we have to create smaller goals for us to achieve along the way. So we can have small boosts of confidence boosts along the way.

That is why with the suggestion of Tentblogger I am going to start making monthly blogging goals. Through the monthly goals I will hopefully by the end of the year meet of exceed my yearly blogging goals that I posted about here at the beginning of the year.

So for the month of February my blogging goals are going to be:

  • Average 35 or more unique visitors per day.
  • Average 80 or  more unique pageviews per day.
  • Comment on at least two blogs per day.

Have you made your short term blogging goals?

Very cool goals! My personaly goals for this month include getting 1,000 unique visitors… January 2011 was 500 so I know this might be a stretch.

Also- To get at least 10 subscribers in googlereader/feedburner!

Sounds good. Let me know if you reach them!

Great goals. I think I’m going to have some non-traffic related blogging goals, but I need the time to sit down and write them out.

Is that a picture of your mind-mapping process?

I like the one about commenting every day. I think interaction helps you build your community, and by participating in conversations away from your site, you can bring that connection back to your own site over time. Good luck!

That is what I am realizing. Thanks for the encouragement.

Those are great goals. These goals would seem huge for my blog – is still very young (2 months) and I am still working on being consistent with content.

I do like the idea of participating regularly in other blogs. It is a great way to be connected with others and learn from what others do.

The connections I have found aid tremendously in helping you expand your blog.

Blog growth is a slow and steady process!

Glad you stopped by. I will be adding your blog to my reader.

Definitely! That has also helped mine a lot too!

Thanks for sharing your goals. I have to be honest I have not set any but will now take the time to do so. Thanks for the ‘push.’

Yea. It gives me stepping stones…small wins…to celebrate along the way!

I like any discussion about goal setting. Two of your three goals depend on the actions of others. What are you doing to draw these unique users? Of course commenting on other blogs help.

Commenting on others blogs is numero uno. I am also trying to utilize Twitter, and Facebook better…and of course word of mouth.

Great list, like the practical and realistic goals.

This is something that I want to do, just need to set aside some time to think about it!

Yea, I realized I needed to start making some goals to push me.
