Greetings from Disney World

image

This week the family is down in Orlando, FL at Disney. We decided it would be a good family trip for us this year and so far we have been right. We are staying at the Animal Kingdom Lodge overlooking a savanah full of animals. It is really neat. My two year old son absolutly loves it.

That has been the reason for the lack of posts this week. My goal was to get them ready before I left, but I was busy at work and trying to get ready. I just ran out of time.

We are about to head to the Magic Kingdom today. Should be great fun. It will be both mine and my sons first trip to Disney.

Have you ever been to Disney? What has been your favorite family vacation?

We have yet to go on a true family vacation. I do want to say God Bless you for taking the family to Disney. My wife and I have said that we will never do that trip. We both have had terrible experiences with it in the past.

I think a trip to a mountain getaway would be nice. Sledding, snowboarding etc. The kids would love a hot tub!

We had a good time, but I know it is not for everyone. I love a good mountain vacation though!

Have a great trip! I hope it’s incredibly refreshing for you and your family!

My wife and I would love to take the boys to Disney someday.

Awesome! Have lots of fun man. Kids love that place (and so do adults).

I have never been to Disney World yet. I was going to go this year with my kids, but we decided to go next year or year after next.

    Have fun!!!

It was a blast. You definitely need to go. You will have as much fun as the kids. I know I did!

    NICE! Have fun.

I’ve been to Disneyworld a few times (went with my parents and siblings when I was in high school, and went like 5 yrs in a row with my old company–annual conference).

I grew up a few miles from Disneyland in CA. We went ALL the time growing up. Almost to the point where we were sick of it. :)

I’d like to take my family to Orlando within the next 3-4 years, when the girls are older.

It was a great trip. One that we would love to do again. Soon!

I live close enough to Disney to travel there for the day…

I’m actually headed down there tomorrow! Have fun!

I’ve never been, but sure that when my kids get a little older we might try to make that trip.

My favorite vaca was when we went with the family to the Outer Banks. Great time.

Would love to go to the Outer Banks. Sounds like fun.

I’m excited for you Adam. I remember going to Disneyland as a kid and it was a wonderful experience.

I would say that my best vacations have come within the last couple of years. My wife and I went to Hawaii a couple years ago and then we took a couple long weekend vacations to some local spots. Manzanita, OR and Bellingham, WA. They were all very relaxing and that’s really what I’m looking for when I get away.

Yes, relaxing on vacation is key. I went to Hawaii when in college and absolutely loved it. Would love to go back someday. Which island did you stay on?

I love Disney World!!! Me and my wife went last year and spent a week. I use to live in Orlando so I’ve been several times. It really is the greatest place on earth. lol… I hope you guys have a fun time. And don’t worry about posting. Enjoy the time with the family.

I feel way behind on the posting and replying to comments. We want to go back and stay a little longer so we can spread things out. It really was a lot of fun for the whole family.

Awesome man…have a blast with the fam! :)

Yea..I’ve been to Disney when I was younger…it was like the bomb diggity back then. I think my favorite vacation was when I was younger, my family went on a road trip, and we went to so many places: Tennessee, Oklahoma, Texas, Florida. It was definitely some gooood times!

    • Adam June 1, 2011 at 10:51 pm #

      Road trips are always epic!

My wife and I went to Disney World before we had kids. Spent a day in each of the parks. Loved every minute of it!

Now that we have kids, we would really like to take them there for a family vacation.

    • Adam June 1, 2011 at 10:51 pm #

It was great and my son had a blast. He was worn out by the end of the day!

    Congrats on the awesome vacation!

I’ve been to Disney World twice: once when I was very young and once in high school. Both times I had a blast!

My favorite family vacations are usually the more simple ones. We use to go camping a lot (something I’d like to do more often with with wife). Those were some of my favorite vacation memories.

We also use to drive to Florida every year for Christmas. I guess we still do, but since my siblings and I have moved out we usually just fly. Even so, our time in Florida with my extended family has always been a great vacation for me.

I read on you blog that you are about to go on vaca. Hope you have a blast and cannot wait to hear some great things you take away from the conference.

We definitely want to plan a trip down there, possibly a cruise.

Our favorite family vacation so far has been a trip up PCH (cali) where we made stops in LA/Six Flags/Santa Barbara, and San Fran. It was dope.

    • Adam June 1, 2011 at 10:54 pm #

Sounds like fun. My uncle went on a Disney cruise and he said it was top notch.
