Hacked!!!

This past weekend I had my blog hacked by someone. They not only hacked my blog but another couple of sites that I also have. It was infuriating. They took something that I had put so much work and time into and vandalized it. Totally unappreciative of someone else’s property is what it is.

I tried to find a way to save the old blog, but everything I read was like reading another language, even to someone that known a little about that kind of stuff. So I figured instead of going throught he headache of a repair I would just cut my losses and start to rebuild.

Anyway, ranting aside my database was completely beyond my repair. No, I did not have the database backup plugin installed (which I now do). I have got most of my posts back up without a lot of the images. It has taken some time, but I think I have everything running pretty smooth again.

Now to find out how to keep the hackers out. Just aggravating is what it is…

Anyone else had this problem? Any suggestions on ways to hack-proof a blog?
