Superhero Saturday

Almost every kid growing up has a favorite Superhero they would love to be. They spend countless hours dressing up and running around acting as if they where saving the world with their imaginary super powers.

I know I did… I have always been a big fan of Superman. I can remember when I was younger watching Superman cartoons. I can remember getting my parents to put a cape on me so I could run around the house acting as if I where putting away evil villans.

Even now I am a sucker for comic book superhero based movies. Especially the Superman ones. I love the original movies. I have the entire set.

There was something about Superman that I was just more fascinated with than any other superhero.

So that gets me to todays question: Continue Reading…

Lots of Blogs and Lots of Dead Blogs

I continually read about the number of blogs that are out here in the Internet. The numbers really are astonishing. I have read article of the millions of blogs in the hundreds of millions on the Internet. In reality, you can find a blog on about any subject that you want.

One thing that is not reported is the number of blogs that are sitting dormant. The ones that where started with hopes and dreams of taking off, but are now dead. I am sure those numbers are up into the millions.

Lots of people start blogs with good intentions of putting up great content and making some side income in the process. There is nothing worse to me that to be doing a Google search for something and coming across a great post that was written on the subject, and then clicking to go to the home page of the blog only to notice the blog has not been updated in over a year.

I would have subscribed. I would have loved to read more articles by the individual.

Instead though when the time required for the blog became too much the blog became dead.

Blogging is not easy by no means. It requires time and dedication and has to be something you love to do. For me it is!

Has you ever come across a dead blog that you wish was still updated? What do you do to stay motivated to blog?

Best Twitter App for Androids and 6 Reasons Why

One of my new years blogging resolutions is to utilize social media such as Twitter to expand my blog. I have had a Twitter account for a while, but have not used it very effectively. I hope to find a way to utilize it in the coming year to generate more traffic. Any pointers out there?

I believe that I have found the bed Twitter app for Android phones. At least in my personal opinion.

I tried the Twitter app for a while and for some reason I kept having problems with it loading. It kept giving me a service unavailable error.  So after being fed up with the app. I directed myself to the Android Market in search for a Twitter replacement app. I tried Tweet Deck , but I just did not like it that much.  Then I found twidroyd. I installed it and have been using it every since. I really like the interface and all of its features. Also, most of all it has not given me any error messages.

Here are some of the features of twidroyd I really like: Continue Reading…

Auburn Tigers are National Champions and 5 Things I Learned While Watching the Game

After staying up late watching an amazing National Championship game, the Tigers from Auburn, Alabama came out the victors. War Eagle! A perfect ending to a Cinderella sort of season.

What a nail bitter it was. A back and forth batter between two teams that deserved to be there. Two teams that have had over a month to prepare for each other, and it showed. Each came ready for what the other team would throw at them. It came down to the small things and Auburn’s defense in the end proved to much for the Ducks running game.

Beginning the season I had no idea that the Tigers would make such an unbelievable run. They had some tough fought games all year, but they constantly proved that they had what it took to prevail in all of the tough situations. They had that never say doe, never give up attitude. They always thought they where in the game no matter how far behind they fell. That sort of confidence can take teams far as the Tigers from Auburn showed this year.

While watching the game last night 5 things came to me. So here they are: Continue Reading…
