People Watching

I am a big fan of just watching people. Whether it be at a local store, restaurant, or just out walking around. You can just learn so much about individuals by just watching them. You can tell if what kind of moods they are in, how they interact with others, and even and most of the time the most entertaining, how they interact with their families.

I am amazed at how many families take their problems and fights out into public. It would embarrass me of someone saw me out in public talking to my wife or child in some of the ways I have seen others do.

That gets me to thinking about what kind of representation of Christ are you showing when we act this way in public.

As Christians we should be reflecting reflecting Christ with our actions. If someone sees you in public you should not give them doubt that you are a Christian. For that matter, if people see you in public that know you are a Christian what kind of image are you bringing to Christian and Christianity? That is why we have stories like Anne Rice and Tripp Crosby who have quit Christians. They would not want to be associated with a group that preaches one thing, but practices something different.

People watching is always just so entertaining and enlightening. You can just learn so much about people without them even saying a word. Just remember that there is always a possibility that someone could be watching you.  So do not make them question who you are and what your values are. Let them see those through your actions and the way you treat those around you.

What are your thoughts? Any people watching fans?
