This year we have had a lot more snow than usual where I live in the state of Alabama.
Last night we got even more, as seen above in the picture that I snapped this morning before heading into work.
It really is beautiful. It is so white and clean looking. It just looks so pure. Come afternoon when the temperature heats up and people begin to drive and walk over the snow it will become one big mess. Mud will take the place of that once beautiful site.
My drive into work is usually spent as my quite time. Today I began to think about the snow and how it relates to us as Christians. This is just some thoughts that I had that I would like to share today:
God sent His Son in Jesus to die for us so we can be forgiven of our sins. For as humans sin is just built into us. All have sinned, and fall short.
The good news is all we have to do is ask for His forgiveness and repent of those sins, and we can be pure as than snow.
How often though are we shaped by the things going on around us?
Like the snow we begin to loose that pretty white sin free nature, and begin to get a little “muddy.” Probably a lot more than we should.
…How often do we chose an extra hour of TV over time in the Bible? I’m guilty. Or, I am too tired to pray tonight? Guilty again!
The great news though is that God will never unlove us. He will always be there for us, mud and all.
Are you guilt of getting a little “muddy” sometimes?

Absolutely. Relying on grace helps to overcome it.
Amen!
Amen man. Nothing can separate us from His love!
And that just makes you feel good doesn’t it!
Wow! Awesome correlations!
Thanks Brandon!
Quite often. Thanks for the reminder that even in our filth, He loves us!
No problem. Thanks for stopping by Sean.
I think that I am pretty much covered in mud all of the time.
The moment I start to see a little white, I become prideful and slap a handful of muck on it.
Right after I assist a neighbour and some white peeks through, I think of how awesome and selfless it was of me to be so helpful. Then I smather more mud on that little white area.
This side of heaven, those glimpses of white are rare and short-lived.
I can’t wait for the day I am no longer struggling with the mud and no longer getting others muddy who happen to be standing near me.
Amen Kevin! Thanks for sharing.
>>”…God will never unlove us.”
Ain’t that the truth. So grateful for that!
This such a beautiful picture. Thank you.
