The Treasure of God’s Word by Jack Countryman

I recieved The Treasure of God’s Word: Celebrating 400 Years of the King James Bible compiled by Jack Countryman as a review copy from Thomas Nelson’ s Booksneeze program. This book was compiled to celebrate the 400 year anniversary of the King James Bible. The book contains various scriptures taken from the King James Bible. They are grouped into various sections including: God’s Love, God’s Faithfulness, God’s Strength, Our Salvation, Bearing Fruit, and many more. Also, the book contains summaries of important historical points of the King James Bible.

Upon unwrapping the book I was really impressed. The cover of the book is really well done. It is very eye catching  and appealing. That is about all that impressed me with the book overall. I really hate to say it, but if you have a King James version of the bible you already have what this book has to offer with exception of the historical inserts.

I would have loved to see more historical information on the King James version of the bible.

It would made a great coffee table book if the interior pages where as eye catching as the cover.

I guess I imagined (and hoped for) much more than this book had to offer.

This book was provided by Booksneeze in return for personal review. Please see disclosure statements.
