Top 10 Christmas Movies

The Christmas season is now upon us. I am sure you have seen lighted houses and Christmas trees popping up throughout your neighborhood.

With the Christmas season comes a favorite of our family, the ABC Family “25 Days of Christmas”. There are some good movies, and then there are some cheesy ones as well. It just gets us in the mood for the holidays. There is nothing better than a warm cup of coffee or hot chocolate coupled with a good holiday movie.

I have lots of Christmas movies that I enjoy, but if I had to narrow it down to ten with a number one over all it would have to go as follows:

Follow the links to get your copy of these Christmas classics.

10. It’s a Wonderful Life

9. The Polar Express

8. A Charlie Brown Christmas

7. Miracle on 34th Street

6. Home Alone

5. How the Grinch Stole Christmas

4. The Santa Claus

3. A Christmas Story

2. Elf

1. National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation

So there they are. My list of Top 10 Christmas movies. I hope to see all of these and many more this holiday season.

Are there others that you would add to the list? What is your favorite?

My favourite Christmas movie is Die Hard. ;)

My second favourite is: It’s a wonderful life. :)

      Thanks for stopping by Kevin.

Great suggestions, Adam. I’ve seen all of them except Elf.

Die Hard is a great suggestion too but certainly not one you can share with the kiddos, Kevin.

Elf is hilarious. Some of Will Ferrel’s best work!

      Thanks for stopping by John.

The only one I haven’t seen is Polar Express. My family (four grown kids with spouses) tries to get together to watch Christmas Vacation every year. My wife and I still love It’s a Wonderful Life and try to watch it every year. Our favorite version of Christmas Carol (which didn’t make your list) is one done about 25 years ago starring George C. Scott as Scrooge. His joy when he learns the true meaning of Christmas brings tears to my eyes every time.

Christmas Carol is a great addition. Polar Express is good. Just watched it with my 2 year old son last week.
Do you go wit the original black and white of It’s a Beautiful Life, or the new color version?
