As I woke up this morning I am so thankful that I have a house, and did not have any lose. However, my heart is saddened by all those around us that have lost everything. Houses, cars, and family gone.
The above videos are of the storm that came through Birmingham, AL yesterday. It was literally about a mile and a half from our house. Way to close for comfort if you ask me. We had mattresses ready in our hallway and had taken all of the precautions. Thankfully we did not have to rely on them for our safety.
It is hard to read the news today knowing that this destruction is only miles down the road from us. People we know have lost homes and friends.
So if you don’t mind say a little prayer for the state of Alabama today. Right now the death toll is 123 and I am sure it will only continue to rise, and the horrible stories will continue to come in.
So take a minute and pray for all those who have suffered loss yesterday. Pray that they do not question God, but lean on Him for guidance today.
Thank You,
Adam
To shine upon and give light to those who sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to direct and guide our feet in a straight line into the way of peace. Luke 1: 79
