I had a great time spending time with family this past weekend for Christmas. I got to see my brother who lives in Wisconsin who only gets to come down twice a year which was awesome. It was just a great weekend and a good break.
I also go some petty cool stuff as well. Here is a list of some of the great gifts I received this Christmas:
- Concert – I got to go see the Transiberian Orchesta – Bucket List Item Complete.
- Clothes - I love to get clothes at Christmas because I cannot stand going out and buying them. Plus my wife always has better taste than I would.
- Homemade Items – My brother made me some cool handkerchiefs and my mom made me a wool scarf.
- GPS – My wife and I got a GPS which was probably a gift more for me. I am terrible with directions. My wife is a human GPS.
- Books – Clive Cussler’s new Dirk Pitt Novel titled Crescent Dawn, and a small The Message translation of the Bible for carrying around and daily reading.
- Cash – Which is always welcome. It came in handy when I bought my first Mac last night.
- Amazon Gift Card – Probably buy me some books or a new backpack with this.
- Shoes – I am a sucker for them. Got a pair of Olukai’s which are awesome and a new pair of bedroom slippers.
That about wraps it up. Great stuff from some people that I care dearly about.

My wife bought me a Toshiba laptop. A huge improvement over my 4 year old Acer. And a carrying case for my Kindle DX.
Sweet. New computers are always fun.
