I think Netflix might be up too something. For the second time in a week I have received a large number of sample / test looking feed updates about sample movies and tv series being added to streaming selections.
Yesterday when I fired up my Google Reader to my surprise my new feed count was at 1000+ unread messages. After digging a little deeper I found that Netflix had ran what looks like some kind of test. When I finally scrolled through the entire list I found that only one new movie had actually been added to the instant streaming lineup and that was a title called The Six Wives of Henry Lefay staring none other than Tim Allen.
I was a little disappointed because I always love to see new titles added to Netflix’s streaming lineup. That is ones that are not cheesy…
What could Netflix be up too?
…testing new RSS feed system.
…testign a new database entry system.
…getting ready to announce a large number of new shows and movies being added.
…adding series currently airing shows the day after.
…adding more popular titles and series.
Only time will tell. So for now I guess we will have to wait and see.
The more great titles that are coming available through Neflix, and after checking out Hulu I am more seriously contemplating cutting cable like Tyler Stanton did on his recent series here and here. We will see…

Yea we do the one dvd and streaming. Have not seen Damages…will have to check it out. I have been watching Psych. On season 2 now…pretty funny.

Netflix just came to Canada last September. It is still has a long way to go with its selection but they are adding new stuff all the time.
In regards to cutting cable, we did it last fall. We found that we could watch all our shows online (for free) and we use Netflix to watch other stuff when we are bored.

Dropped everything (I know.. gasp!) last Thanksgiving. We had directv for the last 5-6 years. We’ll probably get Netflix within the next month.. everyone raves about it!
I love it. I wish that they streamed more popular movies,and current series like Hulu. Maybe they will in time.
